# GE appliance installation

What this involves

Clearances the specification asks for, not the ones the cabinet allows

The disposer plug, the high loop, the vent run

Leveled, aligned and tested before we leave

What the space actually is

Measured against the model's clearance requirement rather than the old appliance's footprint. Undercounter refrigeration in joinery is where this matters most.

The connections that decide the next five years

Water line and shut-off, drain with a high loop, vent run as short and straight as the building allows, gas connection tested.

Level, align, and check the door

A refrigerator door that does not close itself will cost a seal, and eventually a defrost circuit. Alignment is part of installation, not an extra.

Run it and watch it

A cycle, or a pull-down, before we leave — so the first thing that goes wrong is not discovered by you at midnight.

What happens if something is wrong later

The installation is ours, so a leak at a connection we made or a door that will not close is our return visit rather than a new call.
