  • The Worth Avenue clock tower in Palm Beach, with the ocean beyond it

    Palm Beach

  • A yacht moored on the Intracoastal Waterway in front of Delray Beach condominium buildings

    Delray Beach

Older houses near the water and newer builds west of it, so salt exposure varies by a few blocks. It changes what we check first on a unit running warm.

  • An aerial view along a South Florida coastline, low-rise blocks between the beach and the road

    Highland Beach

A narrow coastal strip of condominium buildings with the ocean on one side and the Intracoastal on the other. Corrosion is routine rather than unusual here.

GE appliances across Palm Beach County

In Palm Beach County the GE pages cover 8 towns, Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Highland Beach included, and 4 neighborhoods. The whole county is inside the service area, from the coastal condominiums to the club communities and the equestrian properties around Wellington.

Club kitchens and second homes

A large share of Palm Beach County kitchens are in club communities and seasonal homes, and that shapes the GE calls more than the coastline does. A refrigerator or wine and beverage center left running through a summer with nobody home is the classic case: a Café or Profile unit that has been cycling against the heat for months, an icemaker line that dried out, a dishwasher whose seals hardened from standing empty. The repair is usually ordinary; what makes it urgent is that it is found the week the owner arrives.

Heat, dust and the built-in GE suite

Inland the enemy is heat and time rather than salt, and the units that suffer first are the ones with no room to breathe: built-in refrigerators, wall ovens and Advantium combination units set into joinery, and undercounter beverage centers. GE wall ovens and cooktops come in all three technologies, and a single burner or zone that stopped is the most common call on them — often a part, not the whole surface.

How a visit in Palm Beach County is arranged

The order never changes: diagnosis at the house, a written figure, your go-ahead, then the work. For a seasonal home we can work with a property manager or a neighbor holding the key; tell us when you book, and send the model number and a photograph of any code on the display.

Tell us the model number and what it is doing.
