GE range igniter replacement is measured with a meter rather than judged by eye: the igniter has to draw enough current to open the safety valve, and a weak one glows beautifully without ever opening it. Seals, sensors, elements, pumps, igniters, switches and filters account for the large majority of the work on this make. The sealed system on a refrigerator and the high-voltage side of a microwave are the two places where the numbers change order, and both are ruled in by measurement rather than by symptom.
