The part most often blamed and least often measured
Sensors and relays imitate a failed board convincingly: a thermistor drifting out of range, a switch that has stopped closing, a harness rubbed through behind a panel all produce behavior that looks like scrambled control. So the board is ruled in by measurement, not by elimination-by-guess, and at from $285 that distinction is most of the money. When a board genuinely has failed on an appliance old enough for it to be the wrong spend, we say so rather than fitting it.
